Hassan: District Congress President E. H. Lakshman performed the bhoomipooja for the construction of a high-tech toilet at his personal cost of Rs. 6 Lakh for the benefit of the basic problems faced by the tourists coming to Gandhara Buddha Vihar, one of the historical tourist spots in the Taluk.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that Gandhara, which has emerged in a short span of time and has caught the attention of the State, has gained popularity not only in Buddha Vihar of Taluk but also in different parts of the Country. “The enthusiasm of the activists engaged in building the society with the ideology of Buddha, Basavanna, and Ambedkar is an example for others, he said.
He said the time is not far when the Buddha Vihara which is attracting tourists from far away in a very short time will become a place of interest and that he will always join hands with the ongoing development works.
