Sakleshpur: In a tragic incident, four persons died on the spot in a car-tipper accident on National Highway 75 near Eshwarahalli Koodige taluk.

The Innova car travelling from Bengaluru to Mangaluru collided with a tipper travelling towards Hassan. It is reported that the police took the help of a crane to separate the car and the tipper as half of the car was stuck under the tipper.

The deceased have reportedly been identified as Chetan (22) of  Kuppahalli, Ashok (21) of Guddenahalli, Purushotam (23) of Tattekere and Dinesh (20) of Chigaluru villages near Hassan city.

As per the report, the accident may have occurred due to the incessant rain and insufficient visibility on the road. Due to the collision, the vehicle got crushed and the public reported that two-way traffic was allowed on a single road because of mud on either side of the road, and this is causing road accidents on a daily basis. A case has been registered at Alur police station.
