Shivamogga: Home Minister Araga Jnanendra said that the law will be amended to prevent irregularities in recruitment examinations.
Speaking to mediapersons on Wednesday May 4 he said that regarding the appointment of Police Sub-Inspectors, it is true that there has been irregularities. A probe has already been launched to get into the depth of irregularities and unearth truth. It has become inevitable for the Government to conduct re-examination, and it will be conducted soon. The candidates who earlier wrote the examination will be eligible to take up the examination once again. Those involved in the irregularities will be excluded. Due to this, those who were deprived of opportunities in the previous examination will get justice and it is convenient too, he noted.
Stating that this scam in recruitment examination has opened the eyes of the Government, Jnanendra said that new technology has been used to undertake such irregularities. The examination system will be changed accordingly in order to prevent malpractice. The Government will take stringent steps in this regard too. Our aim is that there should be no injustice to meritorious students. In view of this, strict action will be taken to ensure that those found guilty of irregularities in the recruitment exam will not come out of jail. The law will be amended to supplement this, he stressed.
