Shivamogga: A woman, returning from the bank, had lakhs of rupees snatched from her in an incident reported to have occurred within the city.
The victim has been identified as 64-year-old Umadevi, a resident of Bhadravathi Jannapura in Shivamogga.
Umadevi was returning from Canara Bank’s Bhadravathi branch after withdrawing Rs 2,60,000 when two unidentified men on a bike came up to her and snatched the bag of money away before escaping.
The incident took place near the KSRTC bus stand on Friday, September 27 at around 12.30 pm.
A complaint has been filed at the New Town Police Station in this regard.
