Shivamogga: Bharatiya Janata Party MLC Ayanur Manjunath has opined, here on Wednesday, April 24, that the efforts of state coalition of the Congress and the Janata Dal (S) of keeping the BJP away from winning the Lok Sabha polls would go waste.

Addressing the media, he said that even if leaders like JDS Supremo H D Deve Gowda, State Water Resource Minister D K Shivakumar, Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy and others put in maximum efforts of clipping wings of the BJP, it will yield them no fruits.

Manjunath lauded the efforts of the district administration, media and other organization for the smooth conduct of elections and opined that their candidates would win with a great margin across the state.

He opined that maximum number of youths had, especially the first time voters had voted for the BJP candidates, keeping in mind Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“Around 90 percent of the youth have voted for PM Modi and due to the efforts of our party workers, people who had gone out of the country too had returned to cast their votes. This alone constitutes around 10000 votes”, Manjunath said.

He predicted that BJP candidate from Shivamogga Lok Sabha constituency and sitting MP B Y Raghavendra would definitely win, because of the developmental projects that he had implemented in the district.
