A 33-year-old man from Inoli Pavoor Kelaginakere, identified as Mohammed Niyaz, has gone missing under mysterious circumstances after informing his family that he was travelling to Bengaluru for work.
Niyaz, who worked at S N Cloth Store in Derlakatte, left home on the morning of August 2, telling his mother Hajira that he was headed to Bengaluru for a job opportunity. He was carrying a bundle of clothes when he departed.
Later that afternoon, Niyaz contacted his wife Shahla, asking her to accompany him to Father Muller Hospital in Kankanady, where his sister’s child was reportedly admitted. However, when Shahla tried calling him afterward, his phone was switched off, raising immediate concern.
The family’s worry grew as they failed to reach him or determine his whereabouts. Despite reaching out to relatives and visiting familiar locations, no leads have emerged. With no contact from Niyaz since August 2, the family has filed a missing person’s complaint at the Konaje police station.
Police have since launched an investigation, and efforts are underway to trace his movements and communication prior to his disappearance.
Niyaz’s sudden vanishing has left his family deeply anxious, and they are appealing to the public for any information that may help locate him.
