Mangaluru: Police have arrested another suspect in connection with the ongoing investigation into the murder of Abdul Rahiman in Bantwal. The individual taken into custody has been identified as Shivaprasad (33), a resident of Thumbe village in the Bantwal taluk.

This brings the total number of arrested accused to ten. Earlier, nine individuals were apprehended, including Deepak (21) from Kuriyal, Prithviraj (21) from Ammunje, along with Chinthan (19), Sumit, and Raviraj, also residents of Ammunje. All are believed to be directly linked to the violent crime.

According to sources, Shivaprasad was detained in Rayee, Bantwal. After his arrest, he was presented before a local court, which has ordered police custody for further questioning and investigation.

The case, which has drawn significant attention in the region, continues to unfold as police deepen their probe into the motives and roles of the individuals involved.

Authorities are expected to continue questioning the suspects in custody and are working to uncover additional details surrounding the circumstances of the murder. More arrests have not been ruled out as the investigation progresses.

Police have reiterated their commitment to ensuring justice is served and maintaining law and order in the Bantwal region.
