Deputy Commissioner Mullai Muhilan MP explained that distress calls are logged into the system, triggering notifications to incident commanders and tagging resources from 292 teams. The app’s dashboard provides real-time updates on incidents, assignments, and resolution timelines. It also plans to integrate public WhatsApp messages for streamlined reporting.

The initiative, currently accessed by select departments, plans to expand to include grievance redressal and map vulnerable areas for proactive disaster planning. Officials have conducted comprehensive field visits to identify risks such as landslides and bridge conditions, emphasizing community awareness and potential building regulations under the District Disaster Management Authority.
