Dakshina Kannada MP Capt. Brijesh Chowta Joins Defence Ministry Advisory Committee

Captain Brijesh Chowta, MP from Dakshina Kannada, has been appointed to the Ministry of Defence’s consultative committee. Chaired by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth, the committee comprises 14 Lok Sabha members, six Rajya Sabha members, and two nominated representatives. Capt. Chowta is one of the selected members from the Lok Sabha.

The committee will meet periodically to advise the government on defence policies, program implementations, and other national defence matters, as per a statement from the MP’s office. Expressing gratitude, Capt. Chowta said, “As our nation advances towards defence self-reliance under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, it is an honor to serve on this committee. It’s a privilege both as a soldier and a parliamentarian.”
