Mangaluru: The International Homoeopathy Conference – EXPLORA 2025, themed “Bridging Homoeopathic Education, Practice & Research,” was inaugurated on 14 November 2025 at the Father Muller Convention Centre, Kankanady. Organised by Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College (FMHMC), the event marks one of the institution’s most significant academic gatherings, bringing together global experts and more than 1,500 delegates from across India and abroad.
Dignitaries grace the inaugural ceremony
The inaugural programme was presided over by Rev. Fr Faustine Lucas Lobo, Director, Father Muller Charitable Institutions (FMCI).
Mrs Kamala Bai B, KAS, Chief Administrative Officer, Department of AYUSH, Government of Karnataka, served as the Chief Guest.
Dr Ashley Ross, Head, Department of Homoeopathy, Durban University of Technology, South Africa, and Dr Kim Antony Jobst, Consultant and Director, Functional Shift Consulting Ltd, UK, were the Guests of Honour.

The ceremony began with a prayer song, followed by the dignitaries being led to the dais by Dr Sheena K N, Organising Secretary of EXPLORA 2025.
Rev. Fr Donald Nilesh Crasta, Administrator, FMHMC&H, welcomed the gathering.
The formal inauguration was carried out through the symbolic lighting of the lamp.

Release of Research Bulletin and College Magazine
Two major academic publications were unveiled during the programme:
- Research Bulletin 2025, released by Dr Ashley Ross
- Pioneer 2025, the annual college magazine, released by Dr Kim Antony Jobst
Staff editors Dr Deena M. Monteiro, Dr Siddhesha, and Ms Chethana of the Student Research Club were present for the release.

Focus on research, collaboration, and global engagement
In his address, Dr Jayesh Sanghavi, Chairman, Global Homoeopathy Foundation, congratulated FMHMC on its collaboration with GHF. He emphasised the importance of strengthening homoeopathic research to meet contemporary healthcare needs.
Dr Eshwara Das, former Advisor (Homoeopathy) to the Ministry of AYUSH and Trustee & Patron, Global Homoeopathy Foundation, was felicitated for his significant contributions to the field.
The Chief Guest, Mrs Kamala Bai, launched the KRANEIUM software, noting the growing prevalence of lifestyle disorders and the role of alternative medicine systems in improving quality of life.
Presidential message and institutional pride
In his presidential address, Rev. Fr Faustine Lobo reflected on FMCI’s legacy, tracing its origins to Rev. Fr Augustus Muller.
He reiterated FMCI’s mission to heal and comfort at mental, physical, and spiritual levels, and welcomed delegates to the “Rome of the East – Mangalore” for discussions on advancements in homoeopathic education, research, and clinical practice.
Dr E. S. J. Prabhu Kiran, Principal, FMHMC, delivered the vote of thanks, and the programme concluded with the National Anthem.
Comperes Dr Reshel Noronha and Dr Nandan Krishna led the ceremony with clarity and grace.
Dignitaries present included Rev. Fr Nelson D. Pais, Rev. Fr Ashwin L. Crasta, Dr Vilma M. Dsouza, Dr Girish Navada U.K., and Dr Sheena K N.
International speakers included Dr Kim Jobst (UK), Dr Ashley Ross (South Africa), Dr Asha Kiran (Australia), Dr Nicola Cutinho (Germany) and several others, covering topics in research, educational methodology, and the latest advancements in Homoeopathy.


Explora Fiesta 2025 adds colour to the celebrations
As part of the conference, Explora Fiesta 2025 is being organised from 14–16 November 2025, between 4:30 PM and 9:00 PM at the Father Muller Grounds, Kankanady.
The Fiesta will be inaugurated by Mr Michael Dsouza, Entrepreneur (Dubai), Ms Remona Evette Pereira, renowned Bharatanatyam dancer and Golden Book of World Records achiever, and Mr Reuben Jason Machado, also a World Record awardee. Their performances will mark the opening of this vibrant cultural and community celebration.
