
Hebridean Sky Docks at New Mangalore Port, Welcomed with Tradition
The luxury cruise vessel Hebridean Sky arrived at New Mangalore Port today, marking the third cruise ship to visit this season. The ship carried 95 passengers and a crew of 75.
Spanning 90.60 meters in length with a 4.20-meter draft and a Gross Register Tonnage (GRT) of 4,200, the vessel made its journey from Colombo via Cochin Port. After a brief stop in Mangaluru, it will set sail for Mormugao and Mumbai.
Passengers received a traditional welcome upon arrival. Immigration, customs clearance, and medical screenings were efficiently facilitated at the port. Special arrangements, including transportation and a Ministry of AYUSH meditation center, were set up to enhance the experience.
As part of their sightseeing tour, visitors explored the rich cultural heritage of Dakshina Kannada. Key attractions included the Thousand Pillar Temple in Moodabidri, the Kadri Manjunatha Temple, the St. Aloysius Chapel, and the Artisan Village in Pilikula.
