A house in Uruwalu village, Madyanthar, suffered extensive damage on Monday evening after being struck by lightning. The house, owned by Sesappa Gowda of Taridadi, was hit at approximately 4 pm, leaving a significant gap in one of the walls and rendering all electrical appliances unusable.

The powerful lightning strike caused severe structural damage to the concrete house, which was built just nine years ago. The impact of the strike not only destroyed the electrical systems but also caused major physical damage to the property. Despite the severity of the incident, no injuries were reported.

Fortunately, Sesappa Gowda had left the house moments before the strike to pick up his children from school. This fortunate timing prevented any casualties, as the house was empty when the lightning struck.

Local residents were shocked by the event, as lightning strikes of this magnitude are rare in the region. Authorities have been informed, and repairs are expected to take place soon. Meanwhile, the incident serves as a stark reminder of the destructive power of natural elements, prompting locals to consider increased safety measures.
