Speaking to reporters here on Saturday, the CM responded to questions from the media about the opposition party’s allegation that local police were being pressured to arrest the MLA. Siddaramaiah said, “The law is equal for all. The case was registered under IPC 353, which is a non-bailable offense and carries a possible seven-year imprisonment. Should all the allegations against Harish Poonja be dismissed just because he is an MLA?” asked Siddaramaiah.
He further questioned, “Should he threaten the police, merely because he is an MLA?
