Mangaluru: Lourdes Central School came alive with color, culture, and creativity as it hosted its Art Integrated Exhibition on Friday, July 11. Aimed at fostering holistic education, the event transformed classrooms from Grades I to XII into immersive cultural explorations under the CBSE’s art integration initiative.

Centered on the theme ‘Where Curiosity Meets Creativity’, the exhibition beautifully intertwined the cultural richness of Karnataka with the mystique of Ladakh. Each grade embarked on a multidisciplinary journey—infusing art, language, science, mathematics, social studies, and AI—to examine and celebrate the diversity of these two distinct regions.

The day began with a morning assembly led by class VC, featuring a prayer, inspiring thoughts by Adhirith, and a warm inauguration by Principal Fr Johnson L Sequeira, who cut a ribbon designed by Shaun Moraes (Class VIIIC). Shaun also moved the audience with his self-composed poem, “Twin Realms of India: A Tapestry of Contrast.”

Students Able and Reeva poetically introduced class-wise projects, while a skit on the culinary arts of Karnataka and Ladakh reminded everyone that food carries the heart of a culture. A spirited musical performance titled ‘I Am Creative’ and a birthday celebration for students added to the joyful ambiance.

Principal Fr Sequeira emphasized that such projects enrich learning beyond textbooks, cultivating deeper understanding and empathy through artistic engagement. The program, compered by Atharv and Vihanvi, and guided by teacher Vanita Patole, concluded with the school anthem.

This vibrant celebration proved to be a resounding success, offering students a hands-on platform to express creativity while absorbing the richness of India’s cultural fabric.
