Mangaluru: A 35-year-old man, Mahesh Saliyan from Jappinamogaru, Kankanady, has been taken into custody by the Kankanady Town Police for allegedly creating a public nuisance near Pumpwell while under the influence of drugs.
As per police reports, officers received a complaint about a man obstructing auto-rickshaws and verbally abusing bystanders. Responding swiftly, police apprehended the suspect at the scene.
During questioning, Saliyan reportedly confessed to using ganja. A subsequent medical examination confirmed drug intake.
A case has been officially registered at Kankanady Town Police Station, and further investigation is currently in progress.
