Mandd Sobhann, a prominent cultural organisation promoting Konkani language and heritage, has announced the 25th edition of its Konkani children’s residential camp ‘Rupya Rupam’.

The camp aims to nurture young talent by providing training in various performing arts and cultural activities while encouraging children to connect with their Konkani roots.

Training in music, dance and theatre

The residential camp will offer children opportunities to develop skills in singing, acting, dance and other creative arts.

Through interactive sessions and cultural workshops, participants will be guided by experienced trainers and mentors who will help them explore their artistic abilities.

Organisers said the camp is designed not only to enhance talent but also to instil confidence, creativity and cultural awareness among children.

Silver jubilee edition

This year marks the 25th edition of the ‘Rupya Rupam’ camp, reflecting Mandd Sobhann’s long-standing commitment to nurturing the next generation of Konkani artists.

Over the years, the camp has served as a platform for many young participants who later went on to contribute actively to Konkani cultural and artistic initiatives.

Camp schedule and participation

The residential camp will begin on April 18, 2026 at 9:30 a.m., followed by a parents’ meeting on April 24 at 9:30 a.m.

The programme will conclude with a closing event on May 3, 2026 at 9:30 p.m.

Organisers said participation is limited to 60 children, and the camp will provide a structured environment where young participants can learn, perform and grow together.

Registrations for the camp are currently open, and interested parents can contact the organisers for further details.
