On January 12, 2025, Mangaluru International Airport (MIA), managed by Adani Airport Holdings Limited (AAHL), set a new record for handling the highest number of passengers in a single day. The airport processed 7,710 passengers, surpassing its previous peak of 7,637 passengers on November 10, 2024.

Of the 7,710 passengers, 7,613 were adults and 97 were infants. The airport recorded 49 air traffic movements (ATMs), with 24 arrivals and 25 departures. This achievement follows a busy weekend, with 7,538 passengers and 48 ATMs handled on January 11, 2025.

Mangaluru International Airport has been steadily increasing its passenger numbers since its Commercial Operation Date (COD) on October 31, 2020. Other high-traffic days include January 4, 2025 (7,613 passengers), December 31, 2023 (7,548 passengers), and August 15, 2024 (7,406 passengers).
