The eagerly awaited Mangaluru Street Food Fiesta Season-3 will run from January 18 to 22, under the leadership of MLA D Vedavyas Kamath and former MP Nalin Kumar Kateel. The event, supported by Kudla Samskrithika Prathishtana and the district administration, was rescheduled from its original dates due to the Chief Minister’s visit on January 17.
Giridhar Shetty, the honorary president, announced that the festival will take place daily from 4 PM to 10 PM at various venues, including Karavali Utsav Grounds, Narayana Guru Circle, Mannagudda Gurji Circle, and Canara Urwa. Over 100 food stalls have already registered, offering a variety of traditional Tulu Nadu dishes, coastal cuisine, and popular South and North Indian delicacies. Separate counters for vegetarians and non-vegetarians have been arranged due to public demand.
The fiesta promises vibrant entertainment, with cultural programmes across multiple stages, a children’s play zone, and activities like a selfie counter and celebration opportunities for birthdays and anniversaries. “Our stage – your talent” invites individuals to showcase their skills.
Public safety and cleanliness remain top priorities, with systematic parking arrangements in place to avoid roadside congestion. The previous two editions witnessed overwhelming participation and rave reviews, and preparations for Season-3 are well underway. Organisers anticipate another grand success.
