Mangaluru’s MCC App Brings Transparency to Construction Approvals
The Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) has launched a dedicated app to streamline construction clearances, ensuring greater transparency and compliance with approved building plans. This initiative follows a Karnataka High Court directive to curb unauthorized constructions and violations of sanctioned plans.
Through the newly developed MCC Building Licence Management System App, all aspects of building inspections and occupancy certificate issuance will now be managed digitally. MCC Commissioner Anand CL reported that 148 applications have already been submitted via the platform, with verification processes currently underway. Upon completion, applicants will receive their occupancy certificates online.
Individuals planning new constructions within the MCC’s jurisdiction must download the app from the Google Play Store after securing construction permissions. Key inspection stages, including Excavation, Plinth, Slab, and Completion, must be documented and submitted through the app for timely approvals.
