Mangaluru witnessed a tragic road accident on Sunday, resulting in the death of 35-year-old Satish Acharya.
According to a police complaint filed by his relative, Prashanth Acharya, the incident occurred near Garuda Hall. Satish had gone there to meet someone, riding his father’s scooter. On his way back, while attempting to cross the road through an open divider near Supreme Hall along the service road, a car heading from Suratkal collided with his scooter.
The car was being driven by a man identified as Aneesh. The impact caused Satish to be thrown off the scooter, leaving him critically injured. He was immediately rushed to a hospital but sadly did not survive.
Mangaluru North Traffic Police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.
