Mangaluru: A special Ranga Pooja was conducted at the historic Kadri Temple in Mangaluru on Thursday to mark the completion of 12 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s tenure in office and his achievement of becoming the country’s longest-serving elected Prime Minister.
The programme was organised by the BJP Mangaluru South Mandal as a thanksgiving and prayer event seeking the continued well-being and leadership of the Prime Minister. Party leaders, office-bearers and workers participated in the religious ceremony held at the temple premises.
Prayers offered for PM Modi’s health and leadership
During the special pooja, devotees and BJP members offered prayers for Prime Minister Modi’s good health, long life and continued strength to lead the nation. The event also commemorated his completion of 4,399 days in office, a milestone highlighted by party leaders during the occasion.
Organisers said the prayers were intended to seek divine blessings for the Prime Minister as he continues to guide the country through various developmental initiatives and governance programmes.
The gathering reflected the party’s efforts to celebrate the landmark tenure while expressing gratitude for Modi’s leadership over the past 12 years.
BJP leaders participate in temple ceremony
Several BJP leaders from Dakshina Kannada district attended the special prayer programme at Kadri Temple. Among those present were BJP Dakshina Kannada district president Satish Kumpala, Mangaluru South MLA Vedavyas Kamath, district general secretaries Premananda Shetty and Yatheesh Arvar, and BJP Mangaluru South Mandal president Ramesh Kandettu.
The event also saw the participation of BJP Mahila Morcha district president Manjula Rao and BJP Yuva Morcha district president Nandan Mallya.
Party workers and supporters joined the leaders in offering prayers and taking part in the religious rituals conducted as part of the programme.
Kadri Temple hosts commemorative event
The historic Kadri Temple, one of Mangaluru’s prominent religious landmarks, served as the venue for the special Ranga Pooja. The temple witnessed the participation of BJP functionaries and devotees who gathered to mark the occasion.
