Mangaluru: The 19th annual Public Shri Ganeshotsava by Buntara Yana Nadavara Matru Sangha and Sri Siddhivinayak Pratishthan Public Shri Ganeshotsava Samiti commenced with the ceremonial arrival of the Lord Siddhivinayak idol at Bunts Hostel, Omkara Nagar.

Idol brought to temple with devotion

Crafted by the disciples of Shri Ramdas Achar, the idol was carried in a traditional procession and placed at Sri Radhakrishna Temple near Sharavu Temple. Devotees gathered in large numbers to witness the auspicious arrival, marking the beginning of week-long festivities.

Key dignitaries present included Kodiyal Guthu Ajit Kumar Rai Maladi, Managing Trustee of Sri Siddhivinayak Pratishthan and President of the Matru Sangha, along with office bearers Kavu Hemanath Shetty, K.M. Shetty, C.A. Ram Mohan Rai, and Trustees Manjunath Bhandari Shedde, Raviraj Shetty Nitteguttu, Krishnaprasad Rai Bellipady, and Dr. Asha Jyothi Rai Bambrana.

The Ganeshotsava celebrations will feature daily pujas, cultural programmes, and community activities, culminating in the immersion of the idol. Organisers assured that all rituals will be conducted with devotion and adherence to tradition.
