St Aloysius PU College, in association with AJ Institute of Medical Sciences and the SAPUC Parent Teacher Association, organized a blood donation camp at Loyola Hall, which witnessed an overwhelming response from students, faculty, parents, and the larger Aloysian community.
The programme was inaugurated in the presence of college staff, members of the SAPMUN (St Aloysius Pre-University Model United Nations) organizing committee, and representatives from AJ Institute. The initiative aimed not only to collect blood for patients in need but also to create greater awareness among youth about the critical value of voluntary blood donation.
Medical experts from AJ Institute supervised the process, ensuring donor safety and smooth operations. Volunteers underwent pre-donation screenings, including hemoglobin and blood pressure checks, while post-donation care with refreshments assured a comfortable experience.
For many students, this was their first blood donation, and they expressed how fulfilling it was to contribute directly to society’s welfare. The event echoed the ethos of the SAPMUN outreach programme, which extends principles of empathy, leadership, and service beyond MUN conferences into meaningful community action. By linking diplomacy and dialogue with humanitarian service, the initiative showcased how true leadership is rooted in compassion.
The SAPMUN team and volunteers played a vital role in registrations, assisting donors, and coordinating with medical staff, ensuring seamless execution. More than just a blood collection effort, the drive nurtured a culture of responsibility, service, and solidarity within the Aloysian fraternity.
