The national flag hoisted on the 75-meter flagpole at Kadri Park has been left in a completely torn state, causing embarrassment to visitors and raising serious concerns about its upkeep. Despite its tattered condition, the flag remained flying for some time, drawing significant criticism from local residents.

The flagpole, which stands as the second tallest in Karnataka, was erected last September at a cost of Rs 75 lakh. However, the failure to replace the damaged flag in a timely manner has led to public disappointment, with many citizens calling on authorities to act swiftly to restore the dignity of the national emblem.

Responding to the growing frustration, the concerned authorities have finally replaced the flag, addressing the concerns raised by the public.
