Mangaluru: A late-night accident in Derlakatte on July 12 claimed the life of a 58-year-old woman pedestrian, identified as Kamala, a native of Kerala.

Kamala was hit by a Bolero vehicle while attempting to cross the road near her residence. She had been living in an apartment nearby with her daughter Meera, a doctor at a private hospital in the area.

According to initial reports, Kamala sustained severe injuries in the collision and died on the spot. The tragic incident occurred as she was returning home after stepping out, and the speeding vehicle struck her while crossing.
