Speaking to reporters on Saturday, Kateel stated that he will remain an ordinary party worker until his last breath. He also expressed confidence that the BJP would win the council election.

Commenting on Raghupathi Bhat, who was expelled from the party and is contesting as a rebel candidate from the South West Graduates’ constituency, Kateel said people would not support a rebel candidate and would instead vote for the BJP.

Regarding the MLC election, he said that the Congress party’s guarantee schemes would not impact the voters. Kateel also criticized the Congress government for filing a B report in connection with the incident of Namaz offered on the road. He accused the government of engaging in appeasement politics, which led to action being taken against the police officer who filed a suo moto case.

He stated that such incidents have increased since Siddaramaiah’s government came to power.
