Youth Murdered in Kadaba, Accused Arrested After Police Investigation

A tragic incident unfolded in the Kadaba police station jurisdiction, where a young man named Sandeep, aged 28, was brutally murdered. The accused, Supreeth, aged 25, was arrested following a thorough investigation. According to Dakshina Kannada SP Yathish N, Sandeep had been missing since November 27. He worked in the shamiyana setting business, and his disappearance prompted a missing persons report on November 30.

The police began their investigation promptly, calling in Sandeep’s friend, who was the last person to see him. During questioning, the friend admitted to being upset over financial issues with Sandeep. He revealed that while returning from Puttur, he lured Sandeep to a forested area near Nettana, where he assaulted him with a rod. Based on this confession, a murder case was filed, and the investigation is ongoing.

Sandeep’s body was discovered on Sunday, sparking further inquiries. Authorities are also exploring whether either the victim or the accused had consumed ganja before the crime. MLC Kishore Kumar Puttur visited the crime scene and expressed confidence in the police’s investigation, noting that the case is being examined from all angles to ensure justice is served.
