Mangaluru: Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) Commissioner Akshy Sridhar along with MCC Mayor Premananda Shetty, visited Thumbe Dam site on Wednesday September 1.
Speaking to News Karnataka, Commissioner said, “Below the dam where the water flows, a portion of land has eroded and this has happened over a period of time.”
Akshy assured that there is nothing alarming about the condition at the dam and that with regular maintenance, this could be dealt with.
He also requested the concerned officials to take the necessary steps towards this problem. He also asked them to maintain the gate and equipment of the vented dam.
