Mysuru: Ramya set off alone to meet Chief Minister Siddaramaiah at his residence at Sharadadevinagar in city on November 19 at 9.30 pm and had dinner with him. The dinner meeting lasted for over an hour where District in-charge Minister H C Mahadevappa too was present.
It is gathered that Ramya met the CM on Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi’s instructions to seek nomination as a Member of Legislative Council.
Actor and former housing minister Ambarish has remained neutral for some time after he was dropped. Some sources concede he might join Janata Dal (Secular) in the near future.
In this scenario, former congress MP from Mandya, Ramya is seeking nomination for the upper house as three MLCs will be nominated shortly based on the recommendations of the state government.
