Chamarajanagara: In a tragic incident, a man died by suicide by jumping into a lake at Shivapura Kallukatte Reservoir in Gundlupete Taluk of the District on Tuesday January 17.
The deceased has been identified as Siddaraju (42) of Vaddanahosahalli Village. It is learnt that he owned a plywood shop and had to shell out lakhs of rupees. It is said that he had borrowed money. Unable to bear the harassment of the debtors, he jumped into the lake and resorted to suicide, police said.
Gundlupete Police, who visited the spot, found that Siddaraju’s slippers and bike were parked on banks of the lake.
