Chamarajanagara: In a tragic incident, a female elephant died on the spot after being hit by a speeding tanker inside the Bandipur Tiger Reserve.
The incident happened around 9.00 pm on Monday December 12.
The tanker is from Tamil Nadu. Officials informed that the tanker was on its way to Kerala.
Senior officials rushed to the spot.
A postmortem of the deceased elephant will be held on December 14.
