Chamarajanagara: In the interest of the party and its workers, the constituency should not again go into the hands of others. We have lost the field for 15 years. So, I will work for the BJP candidate from Chamarajanagar constituency so that the BJP can come to power here,” said District BJP General Secretary Nagashree Prathap
Addressing a press conference in the city on Sunday April 16 she said.
“I have been actively working in the BJP for the last eight years. I had asked for a ticket from the party for the 2018 assembly elections. Even then, the ticket was lost. Even after being denied a ticket, I have worked actively for the victory of the party candidates in assembly, Lok Sabha, urban local body elections, gram panchayat, Chamul and Kollegal municipality by-elections. I am also doing pro-people work along with the organisation of the party,” she said.
It hurt so much that I couldn’t get a ticket. So I didn’t want to comment on that occasion. I remained silent. Bjp national leader Santosh ji had called. It’s natural for you to be hurt because you don’t get a ticket. Come out of the pain and work for the party. He advised me to stick to the party’s ideology and engage in party programmes,” Nagashree said.
