Gundlupet: A tragic case of suicide due to social discrimination has unfolded in Yadavanahalli, Gundlupet taluk by the victim, Mr. V.S. Shivaraju (45). His brothers, including Mahesh, have lodged a complaint with the Beguru Police, citing social discrimination as the cause of his suicide.
The incident is related to a case filed by the heads of Yadavanahalli village, including Krishna, Chandu, Revanayak, Santosh, Sandesh, Venkataramanayak, Ninganayak, Chikkabellananayak, Alatturu Mahadevanayak, D. Mahadevamanayak, Devanayak, Chinnaswami Nayak, and Rangaswami Nayak, against 13 individuals. The Beguru Police have registered an FIR in this regard.
The residents and family members of the accused in the suicide-inducing cases conducted a protest, presenting a memorandum to the Beguru Police. Subsequently, they held discussions with Deputy Superintendent of Police Lakshmayya, who guaranteed the arrest of the accused, initiated an inquiry, and as a result, the protest was concluded.
