Mysuru: The Chief minister inaugurated the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation (KPTCL) built gas insulated 66/11KV sub-station near Dhobighat on the banks of Kukkarahalli lake, adjacent to University of Mysuru campus on December 23.
The sub-station built at a cost of Rs 35.21 crores will save Rs 4.38 lakh units annually totaling to Rs 25.88 lakhs and the prime areas around Deputy Commissioner’s office, Saraswathipuram, Zilla Panchayath office,Kala Mandir, Court Complex,Manasa Gangothri and Kuvempu Nagar will get quality power supply with very few interruptions.
The gas insulated subs-stations can be built in 3 other divisions to solve power problems, chief minister said and assured of discussion with KPTCL officials to implement the projects.
Lot of development activities have been completed in Mysuru, Siddaramiah said, while assuring Chamaraja assembly constituency MLA of fulfilling his demands
MLA Vasu, MCC Mayor J Ravi Kumar, Karnataka Exhibition Authority President Siddaraju, Mysuru Paints and Varnish unit president H A Venkatesh, former mayor R Lingappa were present on the occasion.
