CM surprises all, calls Mahadevappa his competitor for CM post

Mysuru: District Minister HC Mahadevappa is also in the race for Chief Ministerial post, said Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.

He was speaking after inaugural and foundation laying ceremony of various projects worth Rs 458 crore at Nanjangud. Responding to a person gathered here, who wished to see Siddaramaiah continue as the chief minister he said, “Don’t say something like that. Mahadevappa may become angry as he too is in the race for Chief Minister post”. His response took everyone by surprise.

Vote for Kalale Keshavamurthy in the forthcoming assembly election:

On the occasion, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah thanked the people of Nanjangud for voting to power party candidate Kalale Keshavamurthy in the by-election held nine months back while urging them to cast their votes for him once again in the forthcoming assembly election to be held in April end or May first week.

“I can’t forget people of Nanjangud. In the recently held by-elections, the people expressed their confidence in Congress keeping in light the various developmental works of the government and voted our candidate(Keshavamurthy) to power with a margin of more than 21,000 votes despite all out efforts by opposition leaders to win the elections. I request you to once again vote for him in the forthcoming assembly election and help him win by more than 21,000 votes. For the welfare of Nanjangud people, I will grant any project or work which will be brought by MLA Kalale Keshavamurthy, district minister HC Mahadevappa and Member of Parliament Dhruvanarayan”.

Congress doesn’t belong to any particular community:

“BJP leaders keep telling ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas’ but in reality it is otherwise. On the other hand Congress party doesn’t belong to any particular community. It is a party which treats all community and religion equally” added Siddaramaiah. He also mentioned that Congress would once again come back to power in state under his leadership.

Mini Vidhana Soudha and new bus stand inaugurated:

Siddaramaiah inaugurated Mini Vidhana Soudha, Bus stand, Nanjangud –Hullahalli multi village drinking water project and a bridge across River Kapila and also laid foundation stone to few more projects including 24 bhavans with total cost estimated at Rs 484.76 crore.

First person from Nayaka community to get AICC secretary post:

“Former Minister Satish Jharkiholi has been elevated from state politics to national politics. He is the first person from the community in the state to get appointed as Secretary of AICC by AICC President Rahul Gandhi.

Nanjangud Town Municipal President and Vice President found searching for chair on the dais:

Nanjangud Town Municipal President Pushpalatha Kamalesh and Vice President Pradeep were found to be irked with the treatment meted out to them after the organizers had failed to provide for proper seating arrangements for them here initially. Later, the matter was brought to the notice Member of Parliament and both of them were provided chairs in the front row. Surprisingly, those who do not hold any key posts were found sitting in front row.
