Mysuru: The sale of dasara gold cards commenced at Deputy Commissioners office here on Sunday. Each gold card which cost Rs 3999 for a person can be availed at Deputy Commissioner’s office or through online on Dasara website as well as on Bookmyshow.com.
Special arrangements will be made for cardholders during Jamboo savari and torchlight parade on the day of dasara finale. The card holders are assured of seats in vantage positions, besides free access to other venues and tourists spots such as Mysuru zoo, Jaganmohan Palace, Karanji lake, Railway Museum, Chamundi temple, Mysuru Palace, Dasara exhibition, Ranganthitu Birds Sanctuary and KRS.
D Randeep, Deputy Commissioner said, “We are coming out with 2000 gold cards, which includes 1500 for sales, 300 cards have been asked by tourism department and another 200 cards will be with us, which will be kept as reserved. Last year, the cost of the card was Rs 7500 but due to delay in selling cards we could just manage to sell 200 cards. This year we have set a target to sell atleast 1500 cards. Each person will be entitled to get two cards and if they want more they should approach the DC office,” he said adding that the money collected from gold card sales will be used for dasara celebration. Prakash, resident of Mysuru bought first two gold cards.
