Five injured in LPG cylinder blast

Mysuru: Five persons belonging to same family sustained burns in LPG cylinder blast in house at Chamalapura village of Nanjangud taluk on Saturday late night.

According to police the injured have been identified as Mani (32), Murugesh (54), Tulasi (40), Gowramma (27) and Basavaraju (45). The incident occurred on Saturday night when the family members had dinner. When one of the family members switched on the kitchen light, as there was leakage of gas, soon after the light was switched on, there was sudden blast resulting in the mishap.

Neighbors who woke up due to the explosion, rescued the victims from the rubble. All the injured are out of danger and are undergoing treatment at private hospital. Nanjangud rural police have a registered a case.
