Mysuru: Supporters of ailing Tamil Nadu CM J Jayalalithaa performed ‘Belli Rathothsava’ pooja at Chamundeshwari Temple, on Sunday seeking divine intervention for their leader’s speedy recovery.

On Saturday, various pro-Kannada activists flayed Chamundeshwari Temple authorities including priests for receiving gold jewelries to temple from Jayalalitha followers. On Sunday Belli Ratha Utsava was held for nearly an hour. Later the followers left Mysuru. More such followers are expected to come to Chamundi Hill temple soon.

The relationship between Karnataka and Tamil Nadu has turned hostile owing to Cauvery water sharing dispute.
