MYSURU — In a recent incident in Mysuru, an unidentified woman is suspected of stealing a gold chain worth approximately ₹2 lakh from a fellow passenger on a city bus. The victim, C.N. Jyothi, a resident of Kuvempunagar, was returning from her parents’ house in Halagur and had boarded a city bus to reach the City Bus Stand.
According to reports, during the bus ride, the suspect, a woman around 30 years old, dropped some coins and asked Jyothi to help pick them up. As Jyothi was helping, the suspect exited the bus. Upon realizing her gold chain was missing shortly afterward, Jyothi reported the theft to the Devaraja Police Station. The police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.
