Mysuru: The heritage City is receiving incessant rains since one week and people are having a torrid time. Following heavy rains on night of Monday October 25 and Tuesday October 26 rainwater gushed into many houses in JC Nagar. Inmates had to spend a sleepless night.

Most of the roads in the area are waterlogged but the Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) officials are reluctant to respond to their problems. The old compound wall adjoining Jayadeva Hospital here has collapsed. Bogadi Ring Road is also waterlogged and the vehicular traffic has been thrown out of gear. Bogadi Lake is overflowing leading to inundation.

Two kids were injured after a house wall collapsed in Mandi Mohalla. Kallurnaganahalli bridge in Yelawala hobli has caved in due to heavy rains. Many trees have got uprooted in Krishnamurthypuram, Chamundipuram, Saraswathipuram and in front of Mini Vidhana Soudha at Nazarbad. KC Layout, Jayanagar, Chinnaigiri Koppal reported waterlogging. Abhaya rescue teams of MCC have been forced into action
to do the needful.

Mysuru – Kodagu Member of Parliament Pratap Simha and Chamundeshwari
Constituency MLA G. T. Devegowda have been slammed for taking credit for constructing the Bogadi Ring Road. People want both the leaders to
understand the ground realities.
