Mysuru: An illicit relationship between a woman and her paramour led to her husbands’ killing and the decaying body was retrieved from Cauvery river after 5 days.

Umesh (45), a resident of Karohatti village of T Narsipur is the deceased person.

Married 15 years ago to Umesh and having twins, wife Meenakshi developed an illicit relationship with a man named Trinethra from the same village.

Husband Umesh used to repeatedly confront his wife over her relationship with Trinethra resulting in fights between them.

Wife Meenakshi and her paramour Trinethra hatched a plot to get rid of Umesh and eventually succeeded in their attempt, it is gathered. After killing Umesh, they threw the body in Cauvery River and to escape from police radar, she personally lodged a missing complaint.

Meanwhile, mother of Umesh too lodged a complaint suspecting them of killing her son and throwing the body in the river. Police intensified search operations on river banks nearby and adjoining areas of neighbouring districts. Finally, the body was traced after 5 days in Cauvery River at Megadahalli village. After Umesh’s mother identified the body it was sent to K R hospital in Mysuru for autopsy.

Police nabbed wife Meenakashi and her paramour Trinethra and are awaiting the autopsy report to quiz the duo further.
