Mysuru: With an aim of protecting tigers and their natural habitat, an artist from Mysuru has painted a 3-D picture to express his love for the big cat.

Anil Kumar Boga Shetty’s 3-D painting has drawn wide appreciation from the crowds and many are seen taking selfies along with it.

The painting of the big cat looks very attractive and an young child in full glee taking a ride on its back conveys the message behind the artist’s effort. The artist is appealing through his painting to love the beautiful animal and protect it.

International Tiger Day is celebrated every year on July 29. First created in 2010, the event, for the past seven years, has been celebrated to raise awareness regarding tiger conservation. It is also known as World Tiger Day.

With concrete structures due to urbanisation causing widespread forest destruction at a rapid pace, India with the highest tiger population aims to retain its status and double its tiger population by 2022.
