Madikeri: Karnataka sees yet another case of sexual assault, this one in Kodagu, where a seventeen year old, unable to bear the pain that followed the incident, decided to end her life, with a message that social media channels later began to spread.

The seventeen year old’s father later came forward to report the incident of the unnatural death. 

Kodagu district’s child protection unit has now stepped forward to look into the matter, having visited the victim’s home on Tuesday. The team also assured the family of keeping everything they revealed confidential.

Meanwhile, the father clearly states his belief that it was the apparent sexual assault that led to his daughter’s act.  

The police are now in the process of investigating the case, after registering the case under the POCSO act.
