Madikeri: The Madikeri Dasara committee has decided to organise a variety of events, especially for women, under the name “Mahila Dasara”, on October 6.
The event will be held at the Gandhi Maidan at 10 AM.
On the directions of the Kodagu Deputy Commissioner, Women and Child Welfare Department officer Arundathi has been appointed as the nodal officer.
The competitions to be held are as follows – Mahendi, homemade variety rotis, striking the pot blindfolded, Bomb in the City, fancy dress with traditional outfits, lagori etc.
A variety of products produced by the self-help groups (SHG) and other women organisations will also be on display.
