Mysuru: A newly married bank employee committed suicide by hanging in a city lodge on June 29 and the incident came to light late.
Darshan (30), native of Haggudu village in Arasikere Taluk , employed at Vijaya Bank at Nanjanagud is the deceased.
BE graduate Darshan had married 4 months ago with a girl from Badravati but entered into a depression after he came to know that his wife was suffering from an incurable disease. He parted ways after mutual agreement with his wife and sent her back her home last month and was staying alone.
He took a room in one of the lodges near rural bus-stand in the city and presumably committed suicide the same night. The incident came to light only when the hotel staff found his body hanging in the room on June 29.
The body was handed over to the relatives after autopsy.
Lashkar police have registered a case.
