Corrupt sub-registrar lands in ACB net at Srirangapatna

Srirangapatna: The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) team nabbed a corrupt sub-registrar and seven of his accomplices during a raid and recovered unaccounted cash worth Rs 83,900 from them.

Assistant sub-registrar Thyagaraju and his accomplices Shashibhushan, Vinay, Nataraju, Kiran, Rajiv, Siddaramu and Gangadhar were arrested during the raid after ACB team received a definite tip-off.

The corrupt assistant sub-registrar used to extort money from his clients using his accomplices. He could not give explanation for the excess cash of Rs 83,900 in his possession during the interrogation.

He was booked under anti-corruption act by the police team led by ACB Deputy Superintendent of police Shailendra.
