Mandya: In my political career of last 14 years, I have never done hate and caste politics, said Krishnarajanagara MLA S. R. Mahesh.
He was speaking at a function held after performing guddali pooja for the development of Basaveshwara Temple and village boundary road works at Sriramapura Village in Saligrama Taluk of the District, and said that during his tenure as MLA, he had personally served as much as possible for the overall development of the constituency along with getting necessary funds from the Government. He said that an equitable society can be created if every elected representative of the people is convinced of this. It is a matter of great regret that those who do politics and live in public life and become elected representatives of the people are not able to work in a way they would like to, he noted.
On the occasion, MLA S. R. Mahesh and his wife Anitha S. R. Mahesh werw felicitated by the villagers.
