Mandya: Strict action warned if voters lured

Mandya: Deputy Commissioner Dr. N. Gopalakrishna has said that strict action will be taken against those who receive complaints about luring voters in connection with the upcoming Assembly Elections.

He was speaking after holding a meeting with various political leaders at the DC’s office hall ahead of the Assembly General Elections 2023. He said that the elections should be held in a fair and transparent manner. He added that if there is a complaint about illegal storage of money to lure voters, a raid will be conducted and an FIR will be lodged as per rules.

District Superintendent of Police N. Yathish said that an FIR will be lodged against the organisers and action will be taken if any provocative speeches and untoward incidents are found happening during election meetings.
