Mandya: Actor, BJP MLA from Soraba Kumar Bangarappa launched a campaign for actress Sumalatha Ambareesh, BJP backed independent candidate of Mandya Lok Sabha constituency. Kumar Bangarappa, son for former CM late S Bangarappa visited several parts of the constituency on Saturday and sought votes for Sumalatha.
Later speaking to the reporters, he stated that no one can stop Sumalatha. “JDS is known for the back door and family politics. The Mandya voters will teach a lesson to the party,” he said.
He also stated that in the 2018 Mandya Lok Sabha by election, the BJP had won over 2 lakh votes. “These votes will go to Sumalatha and she will win by a huge margin,” he said.
He also stated that the JDS is a sinking ship. “It is forced to surrender Bengaluru North Lok Sabha constituency to the Congress. It shows its weakness,” he said.
