Mysuru: Huawei Technologies India, the Indian R&D centre of Huawei (global ICT solutions provider) has signed an MoU with JSS Science & Technology University to provide Huawei Scholarships for Excellence to the students of engineering.
As a part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), HTIPL advocates contribution to the countries and communities in which it operates by promoting and encouraging education and research. The university nominated academically distinguished students for receiving scholarship support from the company.
A scholarship of Rs 50,000 each will be given annually to the students of second, third and fourth year Bachelor of Technology course. The Huawei scholarships will be provided to 10 students with high academic performance who require financial assistance, to encourage academic excellence and pave way for their career growth, as well as contribute to the society. Applications are invited from the toppers of Computer Science, Information science, Electronics and Communication and Instrumentation Technology and those financially not stable. The committee will, in turn cross examine and award the scholarship to deserving students.
On the occasion, Vice Chancellor B G Sangameshwara distributed the scholarship cheques to Pramukh, Neeraj, K V Vinayaka, Virupaksha, D Shubha, M Kruthi, Ranjana and Seema. Registrar Lokesh, SJCE Principal Naghabhushan were also present.
